Editorial Principles

RealCostLab operates under strict editorial independence and transparency.

We do not publish sponsored articles, paid reviews, or promotional partnerships. No company, brand, or institution can pay for coverage, influence tone, or shape conclusions.

Language is intentionally neutral. Strong conclusions are supported by evidence and reasoning rather than urgency, emotional framing, or exaggerated risk. The aim is understanding, not persuasion.

Sources are evaluated based on relevance and transparency, not brand recognition. When sources disagree or data is incomplete, that uncertainty is acknowledged rather than hidden.

Editorial updates are made when facts change, not when narratives shift. Corrections are published openly and without revisionism.

Consistency over time matters more than individual articles. Trust is built through repeated accuracy, not single claims of authority.

These principles apply equally to every page on the site, regardless of topic or popularity.
